O.k., dear friends, and now here finally some details regarding the agenda of our church wedding. Now, as you already know, this part of the event will take place on the 17th of July at Burg Schlitz. As written in our invitation inlet, we have already booked rooms for you from the 17.06.2005 to the 18.06.2005 (at least as far as we got your feed back J, up to now that is for 31 adults and 12 Kids) and have also taken the liberty to settle the financials for this.

As most of you will probably have a fairly long trip to Burg Schlitz, I do recommend to arrive one day earlier (on Thursday or even before). So, anyone wishing to extend (or generally speaking change) the dates of his stay is kindly requested to arrange this with the hotel directly. Any extension before and after the wedding is offered directly by the hotel at a special rate of 98.-€ pre Person and night incl. And will be delighted to arrange any changes. She will also be the responsible contact throughout the entire stay for any kind of question. And, as Dad is fairly week on his feet the chapel on the Castle ground will have to do for the ceremony. It should therefore be no problem at all for Dad to arrive at least once in his live on time at 2 pm in order to not miss the start of his own wedding. Our Priest is Pastor  Herr Johannes Holmer from Bülow ( http://www.kg-buelow.de ) and can be contacted at Tel. 039933-70345 in case any one of you has forgotten how to pray. Pastor Holmer will organise the ceremony together with my god mother Dr. Birgitt Heil (mailto:birgitt@familie-heil.de). Anyone wishing to sing any Solo´s should therefore contact her in advance for admission at 06192-1392. (Dear aunt Birgitt, for god sake let them practice before you give them your admission) …)

Currently all rooms and suites have already been blocked for an arrival at the 16th of June. As mentioned, please take care of individual booking by yourself directly with the hotel.

 

Thursday, 16th of June

 

Individual arrival of the guests. At around 6 pm to (open end) a barbeque with buffet will be served at the Gewölbekeller (Cellar) of the Hotel. Closing is casual and everybody should feel free to choose comfortable clothing. Since next day there is no “official” program before 2pm we have open End and, as we are alone on this wonderful castle, we do not have to worry about disturbing anybody. So, please also feel free to practice any solo songs for the church next day (But, please not before the 5th beer!!!)

 

Friday, 17. June

 

until about 11:00 am

Individual breakfast at the Brasserie from 7.30 am  until 11 am.

 

We are also open to use the courtesy Wellness arena incl. Pool, Sauna, etc. as well as the Fitness lounge (hairdresser, massage und make up according to individual scheduling at extra charge)

 

Lunch can be taken at the hotels Brasserie, or at any other restaurant in the lovely villages around the castle.

 

At 2:00 pm (sharp)

The wedding ceremony will take place at 2.00pm in the Karolinen chapel on the castle grounds.

 

 

About 2:45 pm

After the wedding we would like to welcome you all with a glass (or two) of champagne at the Nymphenbrunnen in front of the chapel. Of course we will also serve non alcoholic drinks. For the kids we will have Kids champagne (Apple juice with soda) in champagne glasses

 

After that we will have a small „Photo shooting“ with the Castle Photograph Mr. Holze from Teterow. He can also be contacted for an individual arrangement at 03996-181681 for anybody who would like to take the opportunity to have a new family photo made (without the dull bride…)

 

about 3:30 pm

We will then let the afternoon end with cake, coffee and tea at the hotel Brasserie. Everybody is welcome to individually arrange his own program until the evening event.

 

From 4:00pm until 6:00 pm

From about 4 to 6pm we have arrange a horse trekking tour for the kids. There will be at least two tours, so everyone can have a go.

 

At exactly 7:03 pm

At 7.03pm we are awaiting you for an aperitif at the Gartensalon. Of course we will also serve non alcoholics and “Kids champagne”.

 

Afterwards we will move for the gala dinner to the Rittersaal (Knights room). Where everybody is seated will be written on the menu cards and there will also be a show table at the entrance. Below you can already get an idea of where to find your seat no. (No, of course your not told your no. before the dinner starts…)

For the dinner we have arranged the following specials:

The smaller Kids, no. of Kids will follow, will start together with aldults with an Amuse bouche, followed by a “kids” main course while the adults enjoy their first course and will end with their dessert while the L…..r is served. ( and are therefore ready for bed after the second course) They can then be taken to bed, while the rest of the group will have to be bored with a longer speech (volunteers for the speech are still welcome…please contact Jana Reinhard). The kitchen will take their time for the next course, so there is no hurry getting the kids to bed. If any of you kids though would prefer an upfront dinner, your parents should contact Jana Reinhard fom the hotel when you arrive. (Please do contact her not just 5 minutes before the dinner starts) The „kids“ menu will be voted by the kids upfront in an election (ice cream, chocolate, fries, spaghettis, etc…) . To avoid that vegetarians will start eating up the flowers from the table decoration we kindly also ask them to contact Jana Reinhard upfront for special arrangements. You will be admited to the castle gardens and lawn grounds.

 

Just a remark regarding possible speeches and other suprises:

 

Now, we all know that we will probably have to listen to Dady, since he loves to listen to himself. And of course one or the other might also want to talk, give his opinion the wedding, the bride, general politics or other rubbish, but please,please if you wish to do so arrange this upfront with the organisation responsible Mrs. Jana Reinhard, otherwise, the kitchen will kill us,her and you. And please no more than one speech per course, there will be plenty of time afterwards J

 

 

 

A baby sitter will be available from 8.00 pm onwards. Please remember to bring your baby phone with you, which can be left at the reception. Don´t forget to mention your room no.

 

As a small highlight after the dinner there will be a …

 

No, we´re not telling you yet what it will be, just that it will take place in front of the castle at the oil lamp litten stairways.

 

The following opening of the dance will be at the Schinkelsaal with  live band music .

 

The beverage station can be found in the yellow salon, where totally sweated dancers have to make their way through in order to get to the green salon for a relaxed small talk. Depending on the weather the Knights balcony will of course also be open.

 

At mid night we will have another small highlight to follow. And afterwards there is open end. Now remember, since we have the whole castle for ourselves, there is nobody we have to care about except the castles ancient Ghosts. …Huuuuuuiiiibuuuuuhhhhhh
